How it works

From your clip to a new lead in five steps.

Fluxvideos replaces the person in a short video with the character in your photos and leaves the rest of the shot alone: the movement, the camera, the timing, the background and the sound. Here is exactly what happens, and what it costs.

  1. Upload your clip

    Any 4 to 15 second video in MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 300 MB. Phone footage is fine. You confirm that you hold the rights to it and the consent of everyone in it.

  2. We prepare it

    We screen the clip, find the person, follow them frame by frame and set the original sound aside. It usually takes 2 to 7 minutes. Before it starts you see the estimate and the most we will hold; nothing is charged yet.

  3. Add your character and check the selection

    Add up to ten photos of who should appear. You see who will be replaced; if we picked the wrong person, click the right one or describe them.

  4. Approve the price and generate

    Before the render starts you see the estimated price and the most it can cost. Confirm, and we render your video. You can close the tab: we email you when it's ready.

  5. Download it

    Your video arrives in 720p with your original soundtrack. You pay only what the render actually used, a failed render is never charged, and the video stays available for 45 days.

Tips for a better result

  • Keep the whole person in frame most of the time; heavy cropping makes them harder to follow.
  • Even light and a steady camera beat fast pans and dark rooms.
  • Use three sharp photos of your character: one from the front, one with the head turned about 45 degrees, and one full-body shot in the outfit you want.
  • Plain backgrounds help. If a photo shows several people, tell us which one you mean.
  • If someone speaks in the clip, their voice stays exactly as recorded.

Pay per second

What it costs

Standard costs 27 credits per second of clip, plus 31 credits for preparation. One credit is one US cent, so a 10 second clip comes to 301 credits (USD 3.01). Before each step we hold its estimated price plus 20%, so your balance never goes below zero, and whatever isn't used comes straight back.

Content policy

What's not allowed

Sexual content, anything involving minors and impersonating real people without their permission are never allowed. Every clip and photo is screened automatically before anything is processed, and a second violation closes the account.

Good to know

What if the wrong person is selected?

Before you pay for the render you see who will be replaced. Click the right person in the frame or describe them ("the man in the white shirt"), and we redo the selection.

Can I use a group photo as a reference?

Yes. Tell us which person you mean, for example "the woman on the left", and we use only that person.

Can I cancel?

Yes, while the clip is being prepared or before you approve the render. Cancelling during preparation gives back everything we were holding; once preparation has finished, only its fee is charged and the rest comes back.

What resolution do I get?

Standard delivers 720p in the same orientation as your clip, with your original sound.
